This week in monetary policy: Chile, Georgia, Namibia, Canada, Moldova, Brazil, Fiji, Serbia, Ukraine, ECB, Peru, Uganda & Mozambique

    This week - December 7 through December 12 - central banks from 13 countries or jurisdictions are scheduled to decide on monetary policy: Chile, Georgia, Namibia, Canada, Moldova, Brazil, Fiji, Serbia, Ukraine, euro area, Peru, Uganda and Mozambique.
    On Dec. 9 the Bank of Thailand has also scheduled on measures it plans to take on the strength of its currency, the baht, an issue that is starting to concern its exports and other emerging markets that have seen their currencies rise against the U.S. dollar.
     But Reuters reported on Dec. 8 that a spokeswoman for the Bank of Thailand said the briefing had been cancelled, but provided no reason.
     
     Following table includes the name of the country, the date of the next policy decision, the current policy rate, the local time a policy decision is announced, the result of the last policy decision, the change in the policy rate year to date, and the rate one year ago.
