The Banco de la Republica Colombia raised its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points to 3.75% from 3.50% previously. Colombia reported annual inflation of 3.19% in March, compared to its inflation target of 3% +/- 1%. The Bank also raised its economic growth forecasts to 4-6%, from 3.5-5.5% for 2011.
