Bank Indonesia Holds Reference Rate at 6.75%

Indonesia's central bank, Bank Indonesia, held the BI Rate unchanged at 6.75%, taking a pause in its tightening cycle. Indonesia reported consumer price inflation of 6.65% (core inflation 4.45%) in March, while in February prices rose 6.84% year on year (4.36% core). The Asian Development Bank has forecast 6.4% economic growth for Indonesia this year, compared to GDP growth of 6.1% in 2010.
