The Central Bank of Egypt held its overnight lending rate at 9.75% and the deposit rate at 8.25%, with the discount rate also on hold at 8.50%. Egypt recorded an inflation figure of 10.3% in the 12 months to December 2010, with food price inflation around 17%.
