Central Bank Governors

Following is a list of chief executives of 200 national central banks and monetary authorities. In most cases, the chief executive is a governor but the function can also be held by a president or chairman.
Some countries join a regional central bank, such as the Bank of Central African States (BEAC) or the European Central Bank (ECB), and in these cases the name of the regional bank is listed instead of the national central bank.
For members of BEAC, the name of the BEAC governor is listed, not the representatives from the member national central banks. For the other three regional central banks, the names listed are those of the national representatives in the regional body.
    (F) denotes a female chief executive. As of June 22, 2018, 13 central banks were headed by women, either on an interim or full-time basis. (Aruba, Belize, Cuba, Cyprus, Ecuador, Israel, Lesotho, Macedonia, Malaysia, Russia, Samoa, Serbia and Seychelles)

(Updated August 13, 2018 with Ethiopia governor)

  5. Any chance for full voting squad of FED with break down to doves / hawks?

    1. Thanks for the question but dove/hawk distinction not only a bit too subjective for this kind of table but then I would also have to do similar details for all other central bank boards. As far as a list of full voting squad, this information is on Fed's website.

    1. Thanks for writing to me. I have updated the name of the BCM's governor and will start to track the activities of Mauritania's central bank and see if information about monetary policy stance is communicated regularly.
